# Alumni Network

AIESEC's impact does not end when a member finishes their term. Tens of thousands of alumni around the world carry AIESEC's values and leadership skills into their careers, communities, and personal lives. In Denmark, the alumni network is a growing resource for mentorship, partnerships, and organizational continuity.

## AIESEC Life

**AIESEC Life** is the global alumni platform maintained by AIESEC International (AI). It connects former members across countries and generations, providing:

* **A global directory:** Search for alumni by country, LC, graduation year, or industry. Useful for networking, career advice, and reconnecting with former teammates.
* **Events and reunions:** Alumni chapters in many countries organize annual meetups, career panels, and social events. AIESEC Life lists these events globally.
* **Mentorship opportunities:** Some alumni register as mentors for current members or incoming exchange participants, offering career guidance and cultural support.
* **News and updates:** Stay informed about AIESEC's global developments, impact stories, and strategic milestones.

AIESEC Life is accessible at [aieseclife.org](https://aieseclife.org). You can register as an alumnus once your active membership period ends.

## Alumni engagement in Denmark

AIESEC in Denmark benefits from alumni in several ways:

### Mentorship and coaching

Former MCPs, MCVPs, and LCPs often stay connected with the organization and offer their experience to current leaders. This informal mentorship is especially valuable during transitions between terms and when navigating governance challenges.

### Corporate partnerships

Many AIESEC alumni in Denmark work in companies that are natural partners for AIESEC's exchange programmes and business development (BD) efforts. Alumni connections have historically opened doors to partnership conversations that cold outreach could not.

### Conference participation

Alumni are regularly invited to national conferences as guest speakers, workshop facilitators, or panelists. Their real-world perspective grounds conference content in practical experience.

### Financial support

Some alumni contribute financially to AIESEC in Denmark through donations or by sponsoring specific projects, conferences, or LC activities.

## How to engage with alumni as a current member

1. **Ask your LCP or MC TM Manager** if there is an active alumni contact list for your LC or at the national level.
2. **Attend alumni events** when they are organized — these are excellent networking opportunities and a chance to learn from people who have been in your exact role.
3. **Reach out directly** via LinkedIn or AIESEC Life. Most alumni are happy to hear from current members. Mention your role and what you are hoping to learn.
4. **Invite alumni to your events.** If your LC is hosting a General Body Meeting (GBM), career night, or conference, consider inviting local alumni to speak or attend.

{% hint style="info" %}
Building a strong alumni relationship is a long-term investment. Start small — even one alumni speaker per term can significantly enrich your LC's culture and credibility.
{% endhint %}

## For alumni: how to stay involved

If you are a former AIESEC in Denmark member and want to reconnect:

* **Register on AIESEC Life** to join the global alumni network
* **Contact the current MC TM Manager** to be added to the national alumni mailing list
* **Offer to mentor** a current LCP, VP, or Team Leader (TL) — even one conversation per month makes a difference
* **Share job opportunities** from your company with current members through the MC or your former LC

## Building the alumni network

AIESEC in Denmark's alumni network is still growing. The MC TM Manager is responsible for maintaining alumni contacts and organizing at least one alumni engagement touchpoint per term.

{% hint style="warning" %}
A comprehensive alumni database for AIESEC in Denmark does not yet exist in a single centralized location. Building this database is a priority. If you have alumni contacts, share them with the MC TM Manager.
