# Onboarding Checklist

> **Step 3 of 4** — Onboarding Checklist

## Onboarding Checklist

Use this checklist to make sure you have completed all essential onboarding steps. Work through it during your first two weeks — tick items off as you go. If you get stuck on any step, ask your Team Leader (TL) or buddy for help.

{% hint style="info" %}
This checklist is designed to be completed in order, but some steps depend on your Local Committee (LC) sending you invitations or scheduling meetings. If you are waiting on something, skip ahead and come back.
{% endhint %}

### Account setup

* [ ] Accepted Expa invitation and created your Expa account
* [ ] Logged in to Expa and verified your profile (name, email, LC, functional area)
* [ ] Explored the Expa dashboard: found the opportunities board, analytics section, and your LC's page
* [ ] Joined the LC Slack workspace (or Microsoft Teams / WhatsApp group)
* [ ] Joined the relevant functional channel(s) in Slack (e.g., #ogx, #marketing, #tm)
* [ ] Gained access to the LC Google Drive folder (ask your TL or VP for the link)
* [ ] Bookmarked this Knowledge Hub for reference

### Meetings and introductions

* [ ] Attended your first General Body Meeting (GBM)
* [ ] Introduced yourself in the LC communication channel (name, university, programme, why you joined)
* [ ] Scheduled and completed a 1:1 with your Team Leader
* [ ] Met your buddy (if your LC has a buddy system)
* [ ] Met at least two members from a different functional area than yours
* [ ] Learned the name and role of your LC President (LCP) and your Vice-President (VP)

### Knowledge and education

* [ ] Read the [Welcome page](/new-member-guide/welcome.md) in this hub
* [ ] Read [The AIESEC Way](/general-knowledge/the-aiesec-way.md) — vision, values, Leadership Development Model (LDM)
* [ ] Browsed the [Dictionary](/general-knowledge/dictionary.md) and bookmarked it for reference
* [ ] Read the page for your functional area in [Functional Knowledge](/functional-knowledge/functional-knowledge.md)
* [ ] Attended at least one National Education Cycle (NEC) session (or confirmed when the next one is)
* [ ] Completed the product quiz (ask your TL — this covers Global Volunteer (GV), Global Talent (GT), and Global Teacher (GTe) basics)

### First contributions

* [ ] Received your first task from your TL
* [ ] Completed your first task and received feedback
* [ ] Attended at least two team meetings
* [ ] Can explain in one sentence what your functional area does
* [ ] Can name the three AIESEC exchange products (GV, GT, GTe) and describe each in one sentence

### Optional but recommended

* [ ] Connected with AIESEC in Denmark on social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)
* [ ] Explored the [Tools Introduction](/new-member-guide/tools-introduction.md) page
* [ ] Looked at the [LC Map and Contacts](/aiesec-in-denmark/lc-map-and-contacts.md) to see where other LCs are
* [ ] Asked your TL about upcoming national or local events (conferences, socials, training sessions)
* [ ] Set a personal goal for your first three months in AIESEC (e.g., "contribute to one exchange realization," "present at a GBM," "attend a national conference")

{% hint style="info" %}
**Completed everything?** Share this with your TL so they know you are ready for more responsibility. If you finished early, ask about shadowing another team or taking on a project.
{% endhint %}
